Spinyield

Spinyield is an innovative SaaS platform that transforms the idle "thinking moments" of AI coding agents into a passive income stream for developers. It operates a live ad market where businesses bid to display tiny, sponsored lines within the status bar of AI agent interfaces like Claude Code, allowing developers to earn passively while their AI agent processes tasks. Targeted primarily at the 20M+ developers utilizing AI coding agents, Spinyield offers a unique monetization opportunity for their waiting time and a highly targeted advertising channel for businesses looking to reach engineers. Key Features: 70% Developer Share: A flat, no-tiers revenue split ensures developers receive 70% of every ad dollar earned. Proof-of-Inference: Every impression is cryptographically backed by a real AI inference, making it un-farmable and ensuring legitimate engagement. Live Bid Market: Advertisers compete in real-time auctions for ad placements, ensuring optimal ad relevance and developer earnings. Non-Intrusive Advertising: Ads appear as a single, sponsored line in the status bar during AI agent thinking pauses, never interrupting code, output, or workflow. Privacy-First Design: Spinyield never reads your code, prompts, or files; it only requests and reports ad display status. Easy Integration & Control: Simple one-line terminal install or one-click VS Code integration, fully opt-in, and instantly reversible. Use Cases: For developers, Spinyield provides a novel way to monetize the time spent waiting for AI coding agents like Claude Code to complete tasks. Instead of unproductive waiting, developers can passively earn income that can help offset API bills or tool subscriptions. The platform integrates seamlessly into existing development environments (CLI and VS Code), ensuring a non-disruptive experience while generating earnings from verified impressions, clicks, and even sign-ups. For advertisers, Spinyield offers an unparalleled opportunity to reach a highly specific and engaged audience: engineers actively using AI coding tools. By bidding for "the thinking moment," businesses can place their message directly in front of developers during a receptive, focused period. This ensures high visibility and relevance, making it an effective channel for lead generation, brand awareness, and product adoption within the developer community. Pricing Information: Spinyield operates on a revenue-share model. Advertisers bid for impressions, clicks, and sign-ups, contributing to a reward pool. Developers receive a flat 70% share of this pool, with Spinyield retaining 30% for network operations. Developers can cash out their accrued earnings from $10 via Stripe, with payouts backed by the Proof-of-Inference system. User Experience and Support: The platform emphasizes a user-friendly experience with a quick, one-minute installation process and explicit opt-in consent. Its "fail-silent" design ensures that if the API is unavailable, ads simply don't appear, preventing any disruption to the developer's workflow. Earnings are transparently tracked in a double-entry ledger, auditable by the developer. Comprehensive documentation and a full walkthrough are available on the install page and FAQ section. Technical Details: Spinyield currently supports Claude Code in both terminal CLI and VS Code environments (macOS, Linux, and Windows), with Codex on the roadmap. The system relies on a client-side extension that communicates with the Spinyield API to fetch ad lines and report impressions, all while ensuring user code and data remain local. The Proof-of-Inference anti-fraud layer leverages cryptographically signed sessions and AI inference signals to validate impressions. Pros: Generates passive income for developers during AI agent wait times. Highly targeted advertising for businesses reaching engineers. Strong privacy guarantees (never reads code/prompts). Transparent and auditable earnings ledger for developers. "Un-farmable" impressions due to AI inference backing. Cons: Earnings scale with advertiser demand and individual agent usage. Relies on the stability and compatibility of third-party AI agent vendors. Described as an "experiment" in funding, implying potential future changes. Conclusion: Spinyield offers a unique and ethical solution for monetizing AI agent thinking time, benefiting both developers with passive income and advertisers with highly targeted reach. Its commitment to privacy, transparency, and un-farmable impressions sets a new standard for in-tool advertising. Explore Spinyield today to start earning from your AI agent's pauses or to connect with your next thousand engineering customers.

The Audio Stuff

Three questions this site exists to answer"Is this thing worth the money?"Sixty eight reviews say yes or no with an actual number attached, from 0 to 10, judged against a published reference list rather than against the last review the writer happened to enjoy. Headphones, speakers, DACs, amplifiers, streamers, cables, power. If something scores a 6.5 it says 6.5, even when the brand posted the unit over for free."Will it work with what I already own?"That one is arithmetic, not opinion, so there are free tools for it. Feed in headphone sensitivity and impedance and find out whether your amp runs out of voltage before you reach your listening level. Feed in speaker sensitivity and seating distance and get the wattage you actually need. Sixteen tools in total, covering power matching, room modes, panel absorption, cable losses and digital volume."Can I really hear a difference, or have I talked myself into it?"There is a blind ABX test for that, and it does not care about your feelings. Also an ear trainer that pins frequencies from 20 Hz to 22 kHz, a preference test that names your sound signature in plain English, and an FFT scanner that checks whether a file sold as hi res contains anything above 22 kHz or is just a CD rip in a costume. The stuff nobody puts on their about page> Brands do not read reviews before they publish. They do not get to request edits after. Loaners are disclosed. Affiliate links never move a score. Zero verdicts have ever been sponsored, and if a manufacturer pulls ad money over a bad one, that becomes its own article.Every tool runs inside your browser.
